Huge construction show returns to fairgrounds
One of the largest trade shows in the country returns to Louisville for a record-breaking year, bringing more than 17,000 attendees and 900 exhibitors to the Kentucky Exposition Center.
The 2015 International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition will be the largest event yet, with more than 27 acres of exhibits, more than 900 exhibitors, including more than 200 companies new to the show,
The event will run Tuesday through Thursday, Oct. 1.
It is an industry-only event and not open to the general public.
The trade show is expected to generate $9.5 million of economic impact. The expo attracts professionals who work in electric, phone, cable, water, general construction, landscaping and public works.
Equipment and exhibitors will fill the North Wing, East Hall, South Wing and West Hall and overflow into outdoor areas around the facility.
Held every two years, the International Construction and Utility Expo is the largest event in North America for utilities and utility contractors seeking new equipment and technology for construction and rehabilitation projects. The event features workshops, exhibits and product demonstration areas.
The biennial exposition won Trade Show Executive magazine’s Gold 100 list for 2013 shows, ranking No. 1 for biennial shows and No. 2 among all exhibitions held in the U.S. The Gold 100 annually recognizes the top trade shows across all industries by exhibit space.
The exposition originated in 1964 as a way to help solve equipment evaluation and communications problems and has been held in Louisville since 1987. For more information, visit http://www.icuee.com.
