GROVE TMS9000-2 TRUCK CRANE
The 115-ton-capacity TMS9000-2 truck crane is 800 pounds lighter and has a longer boom than its predecessor, the TMS9000E. The 169-foot, six-section MEGAFORM boom utilizes Grove’s Twin-Lock pinning system and is greaseless. On average, says the manufacturer, load charts with maximum counterweight have improved by approximately 5 percent over its predecessor.
A series of cameras assist operators while driving the crane or lifting. Reverse and passenger-side blind spot cameras ensure operators can maneuver the crane with ease. A hoist camera provides visibility of the hoists.
A new outrigger system has four configurations: 0 percent, 33 percent, 66 percent, and 100 percent. It is also 1 foot slimmer, measuring 23 feet at full span.
The crane is powered by a Cummins ISX12 engine that delivers 450 horsepower at 1,800 rpm, and 1,550 lb.-ft. of torque.
