The 953K crawler loader is a 173-horsepower unit with an operating weight of 34,484 pounds. Digging depth is 5.5 inches, and the hinge-pin height is 142.1 inches. The K Series loader has 22 percent better fuel economy than its D Series predecessor. An Eco Mode automatically reduces engine speed, but maintains selected ground speed when the machine is under light load.

A new power train management system ensures smoother implement and steering performance, and power is delivered to the ground more efficiently, for fast acceleration and shorter cycle times, the company says, and the loader has load-sensing hydraulics and position-sensing cylinders.
