JLG 742 TELEHANDLER
The 742 telehandler has maximum lift capacity of 7,000 pounds and can lift 6,000 pounds to its maximum lift height of 42 feet. Maximum forward reach is 29 feet 1 inch. A Cummins QSF3.8L diesel provides 74 horsepower, and maximum torque is 295 lb.-ft. at 2,500 rpm. Operating weight is 21,476 pounds.
A precision gravity lowering system allows the telehandler to rely on hydraulic power to raise the telehandler boom, but uses gravity to lower it, providing the operator with better, more precise control and increasing the machine’s efficiency.
