Peru: Agro-industrial, mining exports expanded between Jan – Nov 2015
Despite the complicated international economic environment, non-metallic mining and agro-industrial exports expanded between January and November 2015, Peru’s Exporters Association (Adex) reported.
Over the first 11 months of the previous year, agro-industrial and farming sectors’ shipments totaled US$3.8 billion and registered therefore a 1.8% growth compared to the similar term in 2014.
“The sector remained on the expanding trend thanks to the increase in berry, mango and cocoa exports, above all,” the guild expressed.
Likewise, non-metallic mining products (marble, plaques and ceramic tiles) exports reached US$640 million, leading to a 5.6% increase.
Total shipments amounted to US$30.075 billion over the said period, Adex reported.
