KOBELCO STARTS BUILDING SK350LC-10 IN U.S.   

Kobelco has begun manufacturing its SK350LC-10 excavator in Spartanburg, S.C. The SK350LC-10 has a 270-horsepower engine the increases fuel economy by 18 percent. Bucket digging force is 56,200 pounds.

“This capacity increase further solidifies Kobelco’s commitment to producing excavators that are built like no other excavators in the industry,” said Pete Morita, VP–Excavator Division. “We continue to reinforce our foundation in the North American market….”

Product line offerings and capacity at the Kobelco North American manufacturing facility will continue to be increased in accordance with market development. Models in the 20- and 35-ton weight class are currently being produced at the facility and future production plans are expected to include most excavator models.
