Good luck catching a 7 train for a number of weekends during the year.
No. 7 train riders who suffered through nearly a dozen weekend closures this year are in store for more pain in 2016.
The MTA is closing down 7 service between Manhattan and Queens for eight weekends next year, though passengers will get a reprieve over the summer so Mets fans can get to Citi Field.
The MTA has been replacing the aging signal system with a modern one that will boost the number of trains running on the jam-packed line.
The new signals will also mean countdown clocks along the line.
The project requires frustrating round-the-clock service disruptions. Crews will also replace tracks and fix the Steinway tunnel, damaged during Hurricane Sandy.
